Description Justin Haygood 2008-12-20 03:46:02 UTC
Installation properly detected the driver (snd-intel-hda), but didn't apply the correct option needed for it to work:

options snd-hda-intel model=hp-m4 enable_msi=1

With my modified /etc/modprobe.d/sound

Options per my modified /etc/modprobe.d/sound (which makes it work)
Comment 5 Takashi Iwai 2008-12-20 16:03:55 UTC
Thanks. Now I fixed both the upstream ALSA tree and SUSE kernel git tree.
The next major kernel update should include the fix so that it works without the extra model option.
